Sometimes I Wonder Why

On a recent flight I was told that I could not have my laptop in the seat pocket in front of me. No big deal but I began to wonder, why can the pilots play Battleship on their laptops in the cockpit (like the recent NW flight that overshot Minneapolis airport by 150 miles) and I can’t keep one in this little pocket.

Somewhere, there is a room full of stupid people making stupid rules without any regard for how it affects customers or whether it makes any real sense whatsoever.

And then I wonder: are we like that? What stupid things have we put in place that displease our customers or make us difficult to do business with?
