Cellphone Industry: Abusive of Customers

Out of curiosity and a bit of frustration I looked at the potential to switch from my new Droid to new iPhone at Verizon. Lo and behold–since I just got the Droid there are no "special deals" and they want full "retail" of $899. Seriously?

Verizon is no worse than any others–huge cancellation fees (for when their service or products suck), huge equipment fees ($300 for a plain phone–not smart–just plain), indecipherable invoices (do you understand your bill or just pay it?), and more are the common fare within the cell phone industry.

If there ever was a business that needed some innovative, serious entres it is this one. Some service oriented entrepreneur would find a world of folks who would love to get good service, good technology, at a good price.
